We tested the SuperLight Photonics’ laser light sources against conventional ASE sources using identical OCT system configurations.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀:
📊 10x better spectral resolution, below 3um in the SWIR wavelength range
📊 Potential to reveal structural information not detectable with SLED
Traditional SC sources use meters of non-linear optical fiber, resulting in accumulated spectral noise, challenge to stabilize temperature, bulky systems.

LIGENTEC's AN800 platform replaces meters of fiber with a millimeter-scale chip:
800 nm waveguides → dispersion for stable SC generation
Ultra-low propagation losses → maximum optical efficiency
>90% mode confinement →strong nonlinear interactions
400-4000 nm transparency → extended SWIR capability
High damage threshold → reliable operation
